In 1987, after 20 years’ experience working in the international auction business in Paris, New York and Los Angeles, Marc Blondeau resigned as chairman of Sotheby's France and opened in Paris the first international consultancy firm to deal with fine art from 1820 to 2000. He focuses mainly on major artists from this period (paintings, sculptures and drawings).
In 2000, he moved from Paris to open the new premises of BFAS Blondeau Fine Art Services in Geneva in an early 20th-century industrial building at 5, rue de la Muse, in the heart of the lively ‘quARTier des Bains’.
Our knowledge, experience and contacts in the art market enable us to offer works confidentially, mainly from private sources to collectors and institutions. Our position as independent consultants also allows us to guide and assist our clientele in their acquisitions at public auctions or from major international galleries.
